As a Scout one should "Do a good turn daily". It can be as simple as holding open a door, picking up a dropped item or helping the little old lady across the street. Yesterday as I walked into work I passed the old Scout Shop (it is between my office and my parking lot) and noticed someone headed towards it. I was late and in a rush but as I passed by I thought, what if that unknown Scout from so long ago felt he was too busy and passed by that American lost in a London Fog. I turned around and helped the woman and gave her easy directions to the new Scout Shop. She was very thankful and we both went on our way. I was a little late to work but it felt good helping someone. In trying to live by the Oath and Law,there will be stumbles; but if you get to where you should be in the end then you have done your Duty and next time it will be easier to make the right choice. Have you done your Good Turn today?
